Since 2011, Cape Town Showdown (CTS) has brought competitive fighting game events to South African players. Amongst the variety of featured titles, the Tekken series has been a consistent feature in the tournament line-up.
CTS is now officially part of the Tekken World Tour, the first of its kind on African soil. By participating in this challenger event for Tekken 7, you stand a chance to win your share of (USD) $1000 and earn points in the Tekken World Tour!
CTS is a competitor-centric event developed by the South African Fighting Game Community members spanning several generations. If you’re a Tekken player and want to attend a fighting game tournament, CTS is the event to attend.

Cape Town Showdown has partnered with Radisson RED for this event and will be using its four Gaming and Event studios (Ping+Pong, Vinyl, Dry Dock Tats and Silo Threads) which are directly attached to the hotel.
AOC monitors have been used at Cape Town Showdown offline sessions and tournaments for over 7 years. This time around, AOC will be reciprocating the support. We are proud to announce that every station at Cape Town Showdown 7 will use the the AOC C24G1! Quality and accuracy is important to us; for this reason, the AOC C24G1 was subjected to rigorous display testing. We were able to establish that the AOC C24G1 has less than 16ms of input lag.

The TWT 2019 Ruleset is available on the Tekken World Tour Official Website. Please make sure you familiarise yourself accordingly to avoid unnecessary complications. A brief summary has been provided below:
Please remember to bring your own controller. You will not be able to participate without a controller.
Please ensure that you are available when your match is next. Not being available leads to eventual disqualification.
Please be sure to remove any wireless controllers from the PS4 before playing.
Please be respectful of the equipment, fellow players and general surroundings.
All tickets purchases for players and spectators are non-refundable. Enjoyment is guaranteed though, so rest assured you will get your money's worth.
Food and beverages will be sold at the venue. There is a wide variety that should cover most, if not all, dietary requirements. Check out the RED Rooftop Bar and Oui Bar.
This will be a double elimination tournament, meaning that players will get a chance to play twice before being eliminated from the tournament.
